The Town of Appomattox Tourism Department promotes the Town and County’s attractions, restaurants, parks, shopping and lodging establishments to potential visitors from around the world.   The Town Tourism Department works closely with the Appomattox County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism to support tourism-related businesses and events throughout the region.

In addition to marketing the region to future guests, the Town Tourism Department is responsible for staffing and managing the Visitor Information Center (VIC), located inside the historic railroad depot on Main St.  Visited by over 20,000 tourists, the VIC is often the first stop on a visit to Appomattox and a place where trained travel couselors can encourage visitors to extend their stay and spend more money in the community.
