The Town of Appomattox has advertised for construction bids for the road and sidewalk improvements for Lee Grant Avenue and Burke Street.
The plan is to award the bid on December 17, 2024 and we expect work to start after the first of the year.
All improvements will take place within the existing right-of-way and no additional property is required for the project. The goal is to improve safety and walkability for all of the affected property owners and town residents.
We will provide additional information to those residents along Lee Grant Avenue and Burke Street once the construction timeline is created.
Plans for the project may be viewed at Town Hall (210 Linden Street) or the Town Public Works Department (1799 Church Street).
